Independence Day is right around the corner and with it comes sunshine, picnics, and lots of fun. Many of the employees at Hoffman Auto Group have a passion for cooking, and wanted to share their perfect picnic foods that are sure to delight you and your family.
One picnic staple is burgers. At Hoffman Lexus, we like to shake things up a bit. Have you ever tried Blue Cheese burgers? This is a fun twist on an old classic that will take your picnic, and tastebuds, to the next level. If you’re looking for something vegetarian-friendly, our marketing department suggests a veggie burger recipe, like this one.
If burgers aren’t your thing, Hoffman Ford suggested some great chicken dishes to bring to your July 4th picnic. These yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs are simple to make the night before, since the longer they are marinated, the better they taste! The marinated chicken would also taste great broken up into a salad. Here are some other suggestions for healthy chicken salads that would be great for a picnic.
Our team at Hoffman BMW of Watertown went back to basics and said that potato salad and macaroni salad are must-haves for any picnic or barbecue. This recipe for bacon ranch potato salad is a new take on the old favorite and is easy to make- perfect for a busy parent.
Everyone knows that the best part of any meal is dessert! The stand-out cake for any Fourth of July picnic is this American Flag cake. As a national symbol which honors those who have fought for our independence, the American flag is a home run! Another suggestion, coming from our crew at Hoffman Honda, is a cobbler. This dessert is a winner because you can customize it with any fruit you want, like this blackberry cobbler.
