The 2016 Nissan Rogue is designed with you in mind from the comfort features to the extensive safety additions, earning an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick and the 2016 Cars.com Family Car of the Year Award. With an optional third row, the Rogue is perfect for small or large families and packed with features that make your driving experience easier.
Around View Monitor System
Did you know that much of the 2016 Nissan Rogue can be controlled or monitored without leaving the driver’s seat? One of the best features is the Around View Monitor System. Multiple cameras, located in the front, on the side mirrors, and on the rear of the vehicle, offer a complete view of your surroundings right on your dashboard. You can even access a bird’s-eye view of your car. When viewing the front or rear of the vehicle, a set of gridlines appear, designating the distance between your vehicle and other objects. Predictive course lines also appear when the wheel is turned.
Advanced Drive Assist Display
Another unique feature is the Nissan Advanced Drive Assist Display, available in many new Nissan models. The crystal clear, 4.3 inch LCD display sits between the RPM and MPH gauges in the center of your dash. This display features:
- Caller ID for incoming calls
- Text messages
- Turn-by-turn navigation directions
- Individual tire pressure information
- 4WD torque distribution
- Service warnings
- Audio controls
- AWD system
- And more!
“Having such an advanced display really allows you to keep your eyes focused on the road and not on your smartphone,” said Stephanie Samuelson, BDC Specialist, Hoffman Auto Group. “Very few vehicles on the market have systems as sophisticated as the Nissan Rogue.” Stephanie noted that SIRI is also enabled throughout the vehicle, making hands-free calling easier (and safer!)
Active Ride Control
Not only does the Nissan Rogue allow you full control, it also comes with features that effortlessly make your ride safer and more comfortable. Nissan’s Active Ride Control helps decrease the amount of fore-aft pitching motion that happens naturally as a vehicle passes over bumps in the road. This feature controls the engine and brakes by automatically applying a small amount of braking force to counteract the pitch. The amount of braking needed for this won’t slow your vehicle and allows for a much smoother ride.
Additionally, the 2016 Rogue is equipped with Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The latest development in CVT is D-Step Logic Control, computer software that uses dynamic inputs such as vehicle speed, accelerator pedal position and application speed to determine the ideal gear ratio needed to provide smooth, constant acceleration. RPMs and speed increase, providing enhanced drivability with a direct, crisp shift feel without the “hunting for a gear” feeling or shift shock. Conveniently, Active Ride Control and Xtronic CVT operate without any user input.
