About Hoffman Auto Group
In 1921, Hoffman Auto Group was founded by Israel Hoffman with the acquisition of a Ford franchise in New Hartford, Connecticut. After nearly 100 years of business, the Hoffman Auto Group is regarded as one of the most successful family owned businesses in the state. With locations in three Connecticut towns, East Hartford, West Simsbury, New London, and Watertown, the company is comprised of nine brands: Lexus, Audi, Porsche, Lincoln, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Ford, and BMW. The company boasts numerous accolades. We’ve been nine time Best of Hartford and Advocate’s “Best Of” winner, long-standing Elite of Lexus recipient, two-time Porsche Premier dealer, four-time Toyota President’s Award dealer, three-time Honda President’s Award dealer, and a prestigious Audi Elite Manga Society honoree, to name a few.
Employing over 540 people across its locations, Hoffman has two of the largest body shops in the state, and the only aluminum certified body shop in Connecticut. In addition to its sales, service, parts and body-shop departments, the company also consists of an information technology department, a business development center, and marketing, public relations and social media departments.
Hoffman prides itself on community involvement. We focus on local charities with an emphasis on bettering the communities in which we work and live. When Israel Hoffman founded Hoffman Auto Group in 1921 he — and later his son Burton — left behind a legacy of trust, community and integrity. They knew that essential to a successful business was family; and that the value of trust is immeasurable. They understood that meaningful relationships must be nurtured, and that a community is the first ingredient of any sound venture. Today, Jeffrey S. Hoffman, I. Bradley Hoffman, Matthew S. Hoffman, Jonathan T. Hoffman and Zachary R. Hoffman carry on those traditions. Hoffman truly believes that a company needs a strong community to flourish and no matter where that journey leads, community, integrity and family will always be at the core of Hoffman Auto Group.
