Prepping for Spring

Get your Car Ready for the Road

Especially after this historically snowy winter, we’re all ready to get some serious spring fever! You’re probably looking at a springtime calendar full of sporting activities for the kids, weekend getaway vacations, and family gatherings to celebrate springtime holidays. Is your car prepared? Here are some ideas to do a bit of “spring cleaning ” for your automobile:

Make a Boy Scout Basket: The Boys Scout motto is “be prepared.” Trade in that snow brush for springtime items you’ll want and need in your car. Some things to put in your “be prepared” basket:

  • extra windshield washer fluid (it’s mud season!)
  • a refreshed first aid kit (band aids, tissues, safety pins, pain relievers, etc.)
  • sunscreen
  • bug spray
  • a spare towel
  • some water bottles
  • an umbrella (for spring showers)
  • a folding chair (for those soccer games or rest stop breaks)
  • a frisbee (for those whimsical springtime stops)

Did we forget your favorite “be prepared” item? Let us know so we can spread your great idea!
